Cookie policy
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We only use analytics and advertising cookies after you agree, through the consent message shown on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time:
Categories
| Category | What it does | Who sets it | Needs consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembers your consent choice; security and load-balancing on our hosting. | Google (consent platform), Cloudflare | No |
| Analytics | Measures which pages are read and how visitors find us (Google Analytics 4). | Google (third party) | Yes |
| Advertising | Shows ads, limits how often you see them, measures them and prevents fraud; personalised only if you consent (Google AdSense and its partners under the IAB TCF). | Google and its advertising partners (third parties) | Yes |
Things that are not cookies
- Your light/dark theme and whether you've dismissed the newsletter prompt are saved in your own browser's local storage. They never leave your device.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without personal data.
Embedded content
Videos and social posts don't load until you click them. Once loaded, the provider (for example YouTube or X) may set its own cookies under its own policy.
Other ways to control cookies
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop the consent message from remembering your choice. More detail on how Google uses cookies: policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
See our privacy policy for what data is collected and your rights.
